ABOUT THE BOOK – A RAINBOW IN MY HEART
“Poetry and art are the breath of life to her.”
– Edith Wharton
Heartfelt, unsophisticated, memorable poems from a budding writer draw the perfect rainbow in our curious hearts. The works are a dedication to the forces of nature the writer has come to bond with and admire. Be it her love for parents, family, friends or mother nature, Samhita has gathered the collective gems and proudly displayed them in her book of poems. The poet’s natural attempt to capture the beauty in the simple elements of the day is satisfying. Her poems have an expression of appreciation and gratitude for the goodness around and this leaves the reader with a smile on their face.
Our Author with the ‘heart of gold’
If one has dreamt of becoming a poetess, dancer, singer, painter, scientist and a homemaker all at the same time: meet Samhita, our 9-year-old budding writer and the ‘all in one’ star. She is jovial, happy go lucky and content in her space, occupied by her selfless love for the world. A fast learner, avid reader, lover of nature and music, Samhita is fascinated by the rain, river-mud, hill, mountain, sea, cloud, star, the sky and her dear plants.
Studying in class 5 at Golden Jubilee school, Jalna, Maharashtra, Samhita excels in academics and has won medals for swimming and handwriting skills. She has a close cousins’ circle – inseparable and loving and the family fondly calls her ‘sab ki aankhon ka taara’.
Samhita is currently learning Bharatanatyam along with classical music vocals. She plays the synthesiser and guitar with a keen interest. To sum it up, our budding author is an altruist, a confident, pretty girl with a big heart of gold.
Her father, Dr. Umesh Karwa is a neonatologist and Samhita’s mother, Dr.Madhur Karwa is a paediatrician.
