ABOUT THE BOOK
“If drinking coffee is privilege, so be it, says Anjaly as she uses coffee as well as literary figures like Hemingway, Shelley, Byron, and others as an excuse to introduce us to the cafes they might have visited, cuisines they might have sampled, all the while giving us a crash course on natural, literary and artistic history across Africa and Europe.
In a world relentlessly trampled and increasingly morphed by the juggernaut of tourism, teasing out the magic that seduced writers and poets of the past is precious but not easy, but something that Anjaly manages to accomplish with ease. A very readable book that lets you share her privilege.”
