Pole Star is not an ordinary children’s book. Pole Star is a movement. It aims to nurture the future scions into human beings of values & virtues to build an inclusive world of peace, love, brotherhood, equality & justice. How do we achieve this? As George Orwell said, “People, who can’t write well, can’t think well and those who can’t think, someone else will think for them”. Do we want our children to become empathetic leaders or brainwashed followers? The quest to find a solution to the issue led to the creation of Pole Star: our In-house research-based publication for children formulated from United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4.7.
Volume I of Pole Star explores Culture & Heritage from the eyes of children. In today’s fast-changing times have we ever wondered: How do we teach children to connect to their roots, to love their heritage, to be proud of who they are? Yet at the same time, how do we expose the young mind to acknowledge, respect & embrace the beauty in diverse culture & heritage across the globe? How about letting them paint their culture, or write about their heritage, or share fables of the land that had traveled numerous eras to reach us? Pole Star, Volume I, is a compilation of stories, fables, articles, paintings, quizzes based on culture & heritage from diverse cultures of the world.
