Nestled amidst the Sahyadri ranges at about 3500 ft above sea level and surrounded by mesmerizing jungles is the beautiful township of Tarupur. The pride of the region being one of the big cats…the leopard.

Many years ago, its beauty was being brutally crushed by a gang of ruthless poachers. A young Kaushal Pawaskar learns about the abysmal situation of his birthplace. Angry and upset, he wades into battle to save the Tarupur jungles from this tyranny.
Forty-one years later, in 2016, history appears to be on the verge of repeating itself when an imminent threat of mass poaching is discovered.

Trisha Mukherjee, youth icon and a firebrand animal activist comes to the fore. Racing against time Trisha along with Sudhir and Ashok, work to set up their defenses.

Are they able to defuse the threat? Who is the ‘invisible poacher’? Will they unmask him?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Kaushik comes from the beautiful steel city of Jamshedpur. After completing his schooling in that city, he went on to complete his Graduation and then his Masters in Bhubaneswar.

He is a sports enthusiast, loves old hindi film music and is passionate about jungles & wildlife. He finds a trip to the jungles therapeutic. One of his favourite activities is to create fictional animal characters and weave them into bedtime stories for his daughter.

Kaushik has been part of the corporate world since the last 23 years. He has dabbled in sales, been an entrepreneur and worked in IT enabled services; for the last decade he has been part of the banking and financial services industry. He is now back to being an entrepreneur and along with his wife has launched a cloud kitchen brand.

‘The Leopard Trails’ is his first book in a series he plans to write. It reflects his passion for the jungles and wildlife and his concern for a safe environment.

He lives in Mumbai with his wife, their lovely daughter and their amazing pet dog Oreo.
