Beneath the surface of the Pacific, the world is divided — by class, by privilege, by silence.
Arna Smythe has always wanted to fight for her kingdom. Instead, she is sent to train under her aunt, the queen’s personal assistant, learning to braid hair and pour wine while her dreams of becoming a knight gather dust. But the palace is not what it seems. Whispers of rebellion ripple through the gilded corridors, and Arna finds herself caught between a revolution she didn’t choose and loyalty she can no longer trust.
When a deadly plot to assassinate the king pulls her into its current, Arna must navigate shifting alliances, dangerous secrets, and a truth far darker than anyone bargained for — the enemy was never who they thought.
In a world where crowns are won with blood and the powerful feed on the forgotten, one girl armed with nothing, but nerve and rage must decide what she is truly willing to fight for.
Some thrones are built on bones. Some are drowned in them.
