ABOUT THE BOOK

So who is the metaphysical clown? It’s Mulla Nasrudin – a character who fascinated me since I was in high school. I always thought that he was a crazy joker. But later on in my life, when I delved into Sufi literature, I began to comprehend the depth and meaning of Mulla Nasrudin. It was revealed to me that Mulla Nasrudin is a teaching method devised by the great Sufi Masters. It was a fascinating discovery for me which I wanted to share with others.

The purpose of this book is to bring to fore the enigma of Mulla Nasrudin by providing commentaries on the Nasrudin jokes by bringing out the meaning and depth behind the absurd and the preposterous. The Nasrudin stories treated in this work are studies in Philosophy, Spiritual Wisdom and Psychotherapy.

The pace of modern life being what it is, nobody has the time and leisure nowadays to take up an in depth study of Religion/Philosophy/Spirituality. Nor are we privileged enough to sit at the feet of a Master to learn wisdom. However, at the same time there is a great need for answers and meaning for which the common man suffers and struggles a lot. Man’s inability to cope with the situations of life, is increasingly leading to despair, depression and breakdown – both physical and mental. The wisdom of Mulla Nasrudin provides many answers to the vexing problems of life. Try him out!
