“Don’t let anyone tell you you’re weak. You are strong, capable, and deserving.”
– Mary Kom
This book is a collection of stories, ideas, and creative expressions by the students of Pardada
Pardadi Educational Society.
It is a reflection of their voices, their aspirations, their perspectives, and their journeys as they
grow into confident, independent individuals. At Pardada Pardadi, the goal is simple: to provide
a platform where every girl has the opportunity to explore her potential, express herself freely,
and take a step closer to her dreams.
Through these pages, we hope to inspire a belief in what becomes possible when young minds
are given the space, support, and encouragement to rise, and to remind the next generation that
their voice matters.
For over 25 years, the Pardada Pardadi Educational Society has worked to break the cycle of
generational poverty in rural India by empowering girls through education, healthcare, and
economic independence. We currently support 4,000+ girls in our schools, while 260+ alumnae
are pursuing higher education and 229 are successfully employed across various sectors.
Additionally, we reach over 12,000 women across 138 villages in rural Uttar Pradesh. As all
those we serve come from underprivileged backgrounds, our interventions enable long-term,
measurable change for entire families.
Pardada Pardadi ensures that every girl receives more than just education; she gains the tools
to become confident, independent, and capable of shaping her own future. Beyond the
classroom, Pardada Pardadi works extensively with women through self-help groups, enabling
them to build sustainable livelihoods, access financial resources, and increase household
incomes. Health and hygiene interventions further ensure that both the girls and their families
lead healthier, more secure lives.
Together, Pardada Pardadi is creating a powerful ecosystem- one that breaks the cycle of
poverty, breaks patriarchy and empowers generations of women to lead change within their
communities.
