ABOUT THE BOOK
Shadows and Silhouettes in the Moonlight tells the story of Sam, an introverted schoolboy from Kerala, India, who finds solace in soccer and music but loses himself in love with Sara, a girl from his village. Despite overcoming many obstacles, his dreams slip away, his love fades, and his world shatters, leading to incarceration. Yet, with resilience and the steadfast support of a true friend and the camaraderie of those who stand by him, Sam reemerges from the depths of his past, determined to pursue an academic path, though the journey is fraught with struggle.
In time, Sam finds love again, in Ammu, whose presence lifts him from the haunting shadows of his past. Their tumultuous journey is marked by perseverance as they confront life’s challenges, bound by a shared passion for academic ambitions, learning and discovery. Inspired by the profound thoughts of Bertrand Russell and Albert Einstein, they embark on a quest to understand the world and the deeper meaning of life and existence.
As Sam’s aspirations shift towards humanism and philanthropy, he and Ammu embrace the vision of becoming global citizens, devoting themselves to a life of purpose, compassion, and intellectual pursuit. Their story unfolds as an ode to love, resilience, and the endless search for meaning under the moonlight that once held only shadows and silhouettes.
