ABOUT THE BOOK
Kashif Mir, a perpetual liar from Srinagar, commits the cardinal sin of pursuing writing as a career choice. He leaves his home and starts travelling across India. Along the way he experiences a number of events, some of which, you might have heard in the primetime news – although not in the exact same way.
While the book chronicles the journey of a young writer, it also satirises a number of social and political issues currently being discussed in India. Whether it’s the evergrowing Hindu-Muslim brawls or everyday display of charming loudmouths on TV news, each chapter unfolds a real issue, giving it a humorous twist and adding more drama to this roller-coaster ride. And finally we reach the Bollywood, where the fate of Mr Mir’s writing career would be decided.
Also… remember that it’s the tale of an unreliable narrator. So, all the scenarios that he is describing in the book – are they even true? Or is he lying, yet again? That’s for you to find out.
